I found it. I found my favorite bookstore in the country. I’ve been to hundreds of bookstores as an avid traveler. I was in Lincoln for two days and had to pop into Bluestem. The inventory is unbelievable. Beautiful editions of all your favorite novels, a truly impressive collection of historical non-fiction and military related non-fiction. A great nature and outdoor section with some interesting rare, oddball titles, and a very under appreciated section on Indian histories. The most mind boggling part: it’s incredibly affordable. All bookstores should strive to be Blue Stem. My brother and I walked out with nearly more than we could carry. I rank it #1 in the nation just above John King in Detroit. Can’t wait to be back!

A small but mighty used bookstore! It is well stocked with everything from first editions to current works in almost every genre. Very good pricing with some incredible bargains.

Good to visit every once in a while to see if they have new stock. Quiet and friendly.

Really enjoyed the experience in Bluestem! The staff were kind and friendly, Marabelle was so sweet. This store is more used and older books, so if you're looking for a specific newer book, may not be the best place. However, there was plenty to choose from in every genre.

This bookstore feels like a bit of an adventure. You walk in and you see, well, books. You keep walking and then you discover a room of books, then another room of books, and then another, and another, while feeling like you've died and gone to heaven. The books are all in great condition, and surprisingly and pleasantly priced lower than other used book stores.

I'm convinced there is a book here for everyone. There were so many rooms and walls filled with books. It had that wonderful old paper smell and there was an adorable, friendly puppy dog. The staff were very nice and fun to talk to. I will definitely be coming back!!

I love this book store!! Everytime I'm downtown, I like to stop in. They have a huge selection of books, and the store itself is lowkey magical, the way its gathered such a massive selection. I think its best to go in just to get what you can find, rather than trying to find a piece in here. The books are decently priced, around 4-7 dollars for most.They're in great condition, and one's that are slightly damaged get sold for even cheaper. I got an amazing hardcover, gold-foil page copy of Arabian Nights for 18 dollars! I also have to mention the cute little dog that you'll find loving to mosey around. Stop in, Give the dog a pet, buy books!
